Heading Home

Hey all, This is gonna be our last post till we hit the states. We're bushed and looking forward to sleeping in our own bed. Thailand is amazing, but homesickness has taken over.
Today started out miserably and ended in delight. We're having some jealousy issues when Jeff and I interact or show affection to one another. We were holding hands and Miss M. took my hand and pushed Jeff away from me. She is fussy if he is nearby when she and I are playing. Jeff gave her some bread and butter, which she loves. Initially Maneekarn took it, but when he came close, slapped it back into his hand and pushed him away screaming. That was tough. Jeff's feelings were pretty hurt. We spent the morning working on it and demonstrating that a tantrum will not change things and that Jeff is no threat to our bond. Maneekarn's reports mentioned she was possessive over her foster mom.
After her a.m. nap we played, visited Wat Po, and played with the other family that is here with us. Everything went smoothly and Maneekarn did well with Jeff the rest of the day. She giggled and was playful and did not fuss at all when he held her. I'm glad we all will have so much time together when we get home to really strengthen what we've begun here. It will be great to have Jeff with her for 3 days a week so that we all get a lot of one on one time.
We have to leave for the airport at roughly 2am tomorrow night, so love you and talk with you when we're cozy in our own space...
